Freq2Pxx v1, by C.A.K. (iggyblack AT msn DOT com) no rights reserved Freq2Pxx is a tiny program hastily written in ancient QuickBasic, for the sole purpose of converting a list of note frequencies (expressed in hz) into a new list of Pxx effect values for use with FamiTracker. This is handy for FamiTracker composers who want to compose using Just Intonation, 24-TET, or any other microtonal/xenharmonic scale. To use Freq2Pxx, simply create a text file named "freq.txt" which contains the desired frequencies, and place the text file in the same folder as "freq2pxx.exe". Run the program, and the Pxx values will be written to a new text file "pxx.txt". (Please exercise caution, as Freq2Pxx will not ask whether you want to overwrite "pxx.txt".) example: 55 110 220 440 880 1760 3520 7040 output: A-0 P80 A-1 P80 A-2 P80 A-3 P80 A-4 P80 A-5 P80 A-6 P80 A-7 P80 If "pxx.txt" is empty or missing some values, it's because one or more of the input frequencies was too low/high , or you put non-numeric characters in "freq.txt". Don't do that. Please send any Freq2Pxx-related inquiry to the email above. Thanks. ~CAK
