Then again, most Mac ports tend to become their own individual projects (the last time Mac ports & Darwin ports attempted some kind of universality resulted in nothing close to fruitful). But that's also because Macs aren't as prevalent as x86 PCs to most consumers.

But let's face it; MFC is a hindrance to the open-source community because it's only native to Windows systems (sometimes, even WINE messes up when trying to run MFC applications due to the MFC library's otherwise closed nature).

(And to all Canadians; I'm just glad that nobody made a Turing port of FamiTracker.) :P

WE MUST HAVE SUPPORT FOR VISUAL STUDIO 2010

Unless I am just to lazy to get MFC and DirectX SDK.

Well, you need MFC & DirectX to compile FamiTracker using Visual Studio; it's not like you can use any other compiler with MFC.

I hadn't heard of Turing as a language since high school. It sounded like a dead language then, and it still sounds like it now.

I'm surprised that you've never heard of Turing & you're from Ontario, kinkinkijkin; I learned it in way back in high school (before the language died). Good riddance indeed!

Anyways, I can't wait to see Mex's hacks. If only he could do a complete rewrite that's independent of MFC! :P

High school you learned it in. I'm still in elementary. (my school board does not have middle school*)
