No. It's much easier. Just open an NSF in NSFPlay and it will give you all the instrument information.
Except:
1) FDS modulation parameters;
2) VRC6 sawtooth volume;
3) VRC6 sawtooth distortion on/off (the one you get with V01);
4) 2A03 hardware sweep parameters;
5) VRC7 patch #0 parameters;
6) 2A03 triangle note durations (sometimes the triangle channel does not show up in exported MIDIs at all, notably NSFs created with FamiTracker and songs with long notes, e.g. MM2 Intro, while those durations have a posibility of difference between the real ones and the ones you get in MIDIs);
7) DPCM sample position;
8) DPCM Delta counter;
9) DPCM samples (you can however rip them with NSF Live!, an NSF player made by jsr);
Also, sawtooth notes are offset by 2 semitones, e.g. a G-4 shows up as F-5.
NSplay handles octaves differently from FamiTracker.
This is excellent! It sounds exactly the same! You've really outdone yourselves. One more question, is there any kind of site or spot in the forums that has presets like this for many different games? Where could I find more? And not just for percussion, but everything else, too?
My "Post your instruments here" thread. Many instruments, alot from me......
