1. Seemingly there is not a deadline, and this contest was somewhat dead. (not strange; there are just too many contests popping out)
2. I do not know, it is up to the host's own decision.

I decided to give it a shot as well. I, too, ended up using an extra sound chip (VRC6).

I happen to have another tune I made a while ago which might fit within the guidelines for this contest. It's a cover though, and also uses the VRC6. It's also not that slow (50 bpm).
