Put a *** (note stop) right after you enter a note. You do this by pressing the ; key (at least I do.) The other way is to create an instrument, go to the Volume part, select the checkbox, then draw some volume shapes/curves.

i need sticato notes but i am using 16th noted so obviously there's no room inbetween for the ***. Can i make it display 32nd notes?

Make the volume instrument envelope very short.
like 2-3 ticks or something, and you have fast staccato notes.

Hell, you could even create an instrument with the set of short notes in the actual effect columns, with a little experimentation
