I find myself working in Famitracker sometimes and I want to be able to make quicker notes in some part of the middle of the song. Instead of having to manually go in and double the tempo and space out all the notes, I suggest a new feature to "resample" the resolution of the song by multiplying the tempo and pattern length while spacing the notes out to keep the song intact, but with more room in between the notes.
He wants to be able to automatically add a space between each note on every channel of an entire .ftm (and double the tempo so it sounds the same) without having to go through and push insert, down, down, insert, down, down a thousand times.
in that case it would be more like he wants something like a stretch/shrink button, though in any other tracker you usually have to set the speed again yourself. It isn't really that hard because you can see what it is on the status bar.
