MAME emulation is shitty for the PSG? I know it is for YM2612, and sadly it is the most accurate, but I didn't know it about PSG.
I am unable to test on HW. Still don't have a Mega Everdrive or anything. If you are able to test it, you can export as VGM and convert it to a ROM. It works in Fusion and VGMPlay though so far.
MAME emulation is shitty!, btw, that trick was tested on the actual HW?.
You don't put two punctuation marks together.
Why did you think this was even worth pointing out?! Does it bother you so much that you had to point out this tiny flaw in Delek's otherwise absolutely intelligible English??
How rude!! I never thought I'd see this kind of attitude here..!
Actually...is there any way to repitch samples on the Genesis? Maybe by lowering the rate of the data getting sent to the DAC? Or would that affect the sample rate instead?
Yeah, you could repitch them by changing the sample rate, however, you have to done that outside DefleMask, tune your samples and import them to the Tracker.
Btw, thanks to some jrlepage reports, UPDATE 9 IS HERE!.
NEWS:
Fixed a bug while loading extreme large DMF files.
Fixed a bug while exporting extreme large ROM files.
Song Added for PC-Engine: Daniel Greenwood - Hiver.
Both Linux and Windows builds updated.
Couldn't you add a -256/256 range pitch slider for samples inside the sample editor?
That require lot of math, it is not that simple, re-sampling will add lot of code to the tracker out of the tracker scope.
I prefer avoid it, because there are lot of external tools that can do this even better than the editor that Defle could have.
When I put the effect on the first note of the PSG noise channel (on the genesis) to generate white noise and use the square 3 frequency, I can hear the periodic noise for 1 frame, and also every time the track loops, you can hear the periodic noise for 1 frame with the first note.
