About DefleMask, C64 support is done, filters, ring modulation, ADSR, .SID export, etc. Also I will release DefleMask 9 for Windows, Linux and Mac. And fixed various other points.
Oh actually, a question...if I have a PSG square playing music, and I give instructions in BEX to play a sound effect with the same channel, is the asm sound driver, or the sound effect going to win?
Don't wanna double post...
I fucked around with the gameboy a bit...I made a SID style PWM instrument with the wave channel. Is it really capable of switching waveforms so quickly without popping all the time?
i want to emulate the ym2151 soundchip. i was playing the simpsons arcade game and i wanted to make some sounds like that. and r-type series too. can this deflemask make ym2151 sounds?
So, I wanted to give this tracker a try. I downloaded the Windows version from your site, and when I tried to execute the file, I got an error. It's in the attached file.
You need to update your video drivers and/or OpenGL drivers. That error pop up when the computer do not have enough power to create a simple and empty OpenGL window.
When Windows will bring native and pre-installed support for OpenGL as most of Linux distros and Mac OS X?.
You need to update your video drivers and/or OpenGL drivers.
You know, I have a problem with this. I have a Video -whatever-it's-called- in my computer right now(I think), but it doesn't have the drivers installed, and the computer doesn't give me any information about this device, so I can't go there and search the drivers and install them.
Would it be better to buy a new Video -whatever-it's-called-, or should I just stick with the one I have right now and search the drivers somewhere when I get the name of it, and all that other information?
Sorry about the -whatever-it's-called- thing, but I really don't know how that device is called, the one that controls the graphics interface and all of that.
Oh you did actually include the original version of the chip!
Can't wait to finally receive my god damn vga and try it out!
I have a question and a request too,
Can we expect the asm exporter to be out by March 2013? If not, I'll have no choice but using VGM MM and the tfd engine for our Genesis game as I won't be able to delay making music for it any longer than that...
Also, is it possible to add software envelopes to the YM2612? Since volume is basically modifying the TL value of the operator that outputs the signal, it should be possible (and for the modulators too, as well as arpeggio envelopes, and Feedback, there could be a ton of possibilities!

As for you...the we know what you're reffering to is THIS and since your computer doesn't have the drivers installed, it doesn't even know it's there to begin with. This means it's using some sort of graphics chip on the motherboard which is not powerful enough to run Deflemask. This is exactly the same as in my case.
Mr_Master, try to download a software to analyze your PC (Everest?), it will give you the Hardware ID or maybe the name of the video card. Then you could download the properly drivers.
za909, ASM export is in the "can wait" list. I will release DefleMask 9 on the 1st day of 2013, if I could not finish all of the requests (this include ASM export, FM envelopes, Fixed Arpeggios, multi-bank samples, etc) before that date, I will launch small updates adding them. I don't know for sure if the ASM export will be available before March. Sorry.
