I've been into trying to simulate "8-bit" sound with the YM2612 and one of the difficult parts was trying to make a "triangle" wave. (And also different pulse widths other than 50% are probably impossible to make)

A triangle can be obtained using something like this. Here is a instrument that I done that resembles to a Triangle. However, a perfect triangle will be impossible with 4 operators, you need infinite harmonics to make it with FM Synthesis.
I was talking to ValleyBell a bit about PSG noise in VGMRips IRC. He mentioned the way VGM MM does the noise is correct. So, that means the noise alone has 4 possible frequencies, 3 of which not altered by square 3, and the fourth is highest possible frequency, which is higher than Deflemask can currently achieve. The way Deflemask has it now, by having the noise at one frequency and adjusting all notes played by the noise with square 3 is incorrect.
The way DefleMask has the Noise is using the 20xy effect:

Please listen to THIS file, it plays the Noise in VGMMM and in DefleMask, comparing the limit of they SN76489 implementations. And it is the same.
It isn't just VGM MM. The real SN76489 can go higher than the normal highest frequency that is allowed just with a note. It is the truth, many games use this highest frequency for hi hats.

DefleMask do not uses that strange stuff like Low, Mid, High or CH3 in the SN76489. I realized that you can reach that frequency, that is higher than A-8, in DefleMask, using C-8.
This is not highest frequency. Here is an attachement of the same exact thing played in VGM MM. The difference is, I made this one start from highest frequency.
Btw, that C-8 note in deflemask is the same thing as that portamento "trick" I talked about.
Yes, you are right. I updated DefleMask 8 to u10, I added fully support to that higher freq in the SN76489.
