Two small suggestions:

1.- I think that the "Repeat" checkbox should be saved along with modules. Whenever I open a DefleMask module, this option is checked and not all songs are supposed to repeat. I noticed this long ago but I was able to confirm it now by looking at some of the example modules (I could figure out that some of them weren't supposed to repeat).

2.- Perhaps the file name could be shown in the upper part of the window (don't really know what's the real name of this, but it's where it currently says "DefleMask Tracker. Delek..."). I get confused at times because not all modules have information in the song and author fields, though this is not something too substantial.

Just discovered a bug in the GBS exporter, when using wave macros, in NEZplay it reads random values to the waves memory, and also the gameboy ROM exporter fails miserably in emulators such as gambatte or BGB. Other GBS players and emulators work just fine. any ideas on a fix for thees bugs Delek? if so, thanks. if not, then I will stick with LSDJ then, even though it is a standalone program with no GBS export.

.sid export seems to be horribly glitchy as well. If my songs exceed a certain lenght, the player simply hangs and dies horribly.

It doesn't work on the real hardware either. All models tested.

More complaints and some requests.
Maximum number of instruments, macros, patterns Etc should be 256, not 127.
All of the gameboys noise pitches should be supported.
Wave macros on the gameboy should reset their phase, but not every 60 frames per second.
GB and NES, add HW envelopes, pitch sweep, length counter and macros for panning for the GB.
Pitch macros, like in famitracker.
DPCM support and expansion sound for NES.
Replace crappy gameboy sound emulation with NEZplay.
Replace crappy NES sound emulation with blargs NES sound emulation.
make GB ROMs more compatible with emulators like KIGB, BGB Etc.
HES export for TG16 PCE.
Copy and paste MML macros from TXT files.
Make custom speeds work with the ROM and GBS exporter, and the others too.
A checkbox for the instrument setup, it could be a blank or a simple instrument.
BBC micro, SN76489 clone.
YM2413 support.
Add copyright field.
BPM display.
KSS export.
AY-38910.
VIC-20.
ATARI POKEY.
Make NSFs compatible with older players like VirtuaNSF, NSFLive, VirtuaNES Etc.
SCC support for MSX.
Virtual Boy support.
Wonderswan support with WSR export.
End of list.

AY-38910.

One is just a clone of an already implimented chip that works EXACTLY the same way (just a different noise pattern), and the other has dozens of trackers and other software already available.

True, but the AY trackers I got access to are not vary user-friendly, and the AY support I'm going for is for the MSX.

Re: SN76489 clones, you can just export to .vgm and then hexedit a few headers to change the chip into any of the clones and their appropriate pseudorandom noise patterns

http://www.smspower.org/Music/VGMFileFormat

I think defle outputs to either the older v1.61 or v1.60

You're shit outta luck for gamegear unless you want to manually go in and add stereo commands to the chip in the .vgm stream. Which sounds like a horrible idea

I got used to VTII in less than a day (it's pretty self-teaching). I think the only MSX trackers are hardware/native trackers.

You can manually set the both the CPU clock rate and the interrupt frequency in VT2, so if you want to run it at MSX specs, you can.

Still gotta go native for MSX with YM2413
Even if you wanna go with mml, you gotta compile it natively

Yeah but there is no KSS export, which is wye i'm weighting for not just the AY PSG, But also the SCC and OPLL (AKA YM2413) vary similar to the VRC7 but with some additional drum channels and a different patch sound set.

The OPLL isn't a YM2413 clone; it's another name for the YM2413.

Really? Wow! I had no idea that the OPLL was just another name for the YM2413 chip, thanks jrlepage!

EDIT, Hay jrlepage, did you also see any of the other requests I put in the list for the next DefleMask update?
