When opening up an .ftm file made by an old version of FamiTracker (not sure which version(s) exactly), FamiTracker makes a .ftm.bak file regardless of whether the "backup files" option is actually enabled.

Here's a random old .ftm I found that demonstrates this bug.

i think that is a feature rather than a bug. it's in case the new version screws anything up in your file.

Yeah backups are forced when loading files that are older than a certain version. Save it again and the backup shouldn't appear next time.
