Ok, it took forever but now the new version is complete. Get it from the front page.

This thread is for possible bugs/problems related to this version. (Hopefully it'll remain empty :D)

For you who wonder what happened to the R/Q commands, those are temporarily disabled so I wouldn't have to touch the NSF code now when it was working. I'll prioritize it now, same goes for VRC6 (and other chips). Hopefully I'll also be quicker on updates.

Also, thanks to all who donated and everyone who supports this project!

Nice release, but why did you remove the bar where you add effects (the one you get when you right click and go to Effects)?

And the Icon for the appication is a bit messy. Maybe I shall send you my icons (both in .dll pack and in seperate PNG's).

So, I looked in the help file, and there was quite a lengthy list of changes/improvements to this version. I think most of these were already in the WIP we were using, but it seems this new version is very stable and the irritating bugs have been squashed. Definately worth the update - we were waiting for this!

thanks!!!

Hi, yeah I think it was worth it. :-)

I forgot to mention the portamento changes. 1xx and 2xx is moved to 3xx, where 300 turns it off and 301 is slowest (and so on). 1xx is pitch slide up and 2xx is pitch slide down. But the help files are updated on this topic.

Is that more like the Fasttracker standard?

Edit: Yes it sure looks like it! :

Kuhneghetz: The menu was removed because I thought it wasn't really useful. =)

Maybe I did mess up the icon, best would be if you did an .ico file with all usual sizes so I can open it directly in visual studio.

Glad to see a new version, maybe that means we'll be seeing VRC6 soon?

I always wondered why the NSF files were so much bigger than actual game rips - nice work cutting the size down!

What's up with the "effects" menu option? If it's been removed, why is it still in the menu? Personally, I think it'd be great to have it - like a little window that pops up, either a small one just listing the effects, or one where you can pick an effect from a list and you get the right letter put down for you in the tracker. If you don't know the letters by heart, it could be a great help. The value gradient function is nice though! Too bad it doesn't work for all effects...

"Volume of channels will be rounded of to 1 instead of 0." - what does that mean?

What are the "R/Q commands"?

The Zxx effect doesn't seem to work, or I'm using it wrong. Basically, the triangle and noise channels play at the same volume regardless of the value of xx - 00 or 80 or anywhere in between yields the same result. Don't know if this was an issue in previous versions.
