I'm actually starting a shindig with a few of my buddies North of Toronto & I'll be doing live recording (along with all the electrical set-up, including some mixing boards). I might also be involved with generating some NES tracks for the band (it's nothing too exciting, but because I'm doing live recording, your info on panning will help me out quite a bit).

Props to you & your info, man.

gyms, do you think you could post this publicly, or send me a copy? I know I could use some mixing information.

About the correlation meter; done & done (one of my buddies has it with the audio mixing boards, plus I have my own Leader LBO-518 oscilloscope; it's got 4 channels).

Yes; this is the perfect example in reference to the original song; I now fully understand how you're mixing each channel to take advantage of the way humans hear.

It's basically arranged such that the more melodious aspects of the song are best heard through the right side, while the bass is mostly heard through the left & the percussion is heard on both sides (because the right ear is better at picking up lower frequencies than the left ear, you're balancing the song by forcing the right ear to pick up the higher frequencies).

I guess this is why I don't really notice much of an issue with EQ, but if I only listen to one side at a time, I do notice that the right side seems more overpowering than the left (but only in the slightest).

Now I understand how to get the most balance out of a stereo mix. Props, gyms!

Woah! Sounds really nice... but there's a couple of things that irritate me :/ The melody is way to quiet and the bass is a bit too loud. The drums could be a bit weird at times too. But other than that! Really sounds much more open and all around better produced :D Great job dude
