It's common of course to create multiple variations of a song under different names in case you decide you like a previous version better. When your FTM file consists of one song, this is no problem: just create song1.ftm, song2.ftm, etc., or something similar.
But if your FTM file has a whole bunch of songs in it, creating a new FTM file isnt appropriate when you only want to make a variation of a single song in it. Instead, you probably want to keep all your variations in a single FTM file and then strip out the unwanted ones later. But making a copy of a song in order to do this currently requires a bunch of manual copying and pasting. So why not just make a "copy song" feature that does it for you? It should be simple to program and it could be helpful on a project I'm working on. What do you think?
