Remember, you do not have to impliment a to-note pitch effect exactly like Famitracker. It can be custom as you feel it should be, but still act as Famitrackers does. The most important thing about Qxx and Rxx in Famitracker is that it can be used even on the first note, unlike 3xx, and unlike 1xx and 2xx, you won't have to have slightly off pitch bending results or have to tweak the effect to get the perfect pitch.
Also, I agree with Demick. Do not give up Shiru! You may feel bad because we bombard you with requests an such, but that is to be expected. You have to expect many questions and requests and you need to feel obligated enough to go on with it and take everyone seriously, because we all take you seriously. Do not feel bad, it is a great thing you are doing and we all are very thankful to be able to use your work for something good!

oh yeah importation of these file formats to be precise:

*.dmf DefleMask Tracker Module
*.dmp DefleMask Tracker Instrument

genesis mode only; the master system one uses volume envelopes like famitracker instead of ADSR

I have a small request. Could you make it so that for Sega Master System instruments you can customize the envelope like Famitracker? If you don't want to work on this, I understand.

Actually it is a huge request, a whole new instrument editor for PSG instruments and more complex player code. PSG envelopes were intentionally done the way they are to minimize efforts by avoiding all this trouble.

Ah, OK. I don't know how to make FM instruments so it's hard for me.

Why not just learn how to make them? It isn't rocket science, you don't even need to understand underlying processes well, since it is a very intuitive thing. There is a really helpful video.

Speaking of tutorials, I looked to see if there was any on Youtube and this one seems promising.

I remembered something you said before. I think it was that you would need HW to add correct sound levels between the YM2612 and SN76489. Is it something that would be difficult to adjust? If not, why not just use emulator accuracy for the time being until you can get HW accuracy? Also, all HW isn't going to be 100% accurate either because sound levels differ slightly between different motherboard variations.

It is already adjusted using the HW as reference. It shows that the difference between motherboards, models, emulators and players is not slight at all. That's why the volume balance customization in the Preferences has been added in the latest release.

Ah, but the slight differences I mention were comparing emulators to emulators, players to players and HW to HW rather than HW to players and emulators. So, that slider was incorporated to provide more accruare levels, but is the SN76489 really so quiet compared to the YM2612? What of VGM Music Makers volume peaking (when the spectrum turns red and the sound distorts). This doesn't happen on HW or emulators. Is that just carried over from TFM?

It is that quiet on the particular MD1 that was used as reference. It is much louder in (some) other cases, slider resolution turned out to be not enough.

Volume peaking is how digital sound processing works. It also happens on the hardware (not the same way as in the editor), it only sounds differently due to the nature of analog and digital sound. It does not happen in emulators, because they don't allow to change volume that much, and the dynamic range in the editor is twice lower than in emulators, because the editor emulates two sets of sound chips instead of one to allow instrument testing during play that does not interfere with the music.

Oh, I understand now about the distortion.
So, you say the slider resolution is not enough. Does that mean you will you adjust the volume balance slider some more? If so, won't the YM2612 be really low from what it should be, or will you just adjust the SN76489?

As the max should remain the same, yes, if something needs to be louder (PSG), everything else (FM) should be quieter.

Oh, before I forget. I would like to request fixing the tracker from skipping input/re-input if you try to go too fast in the pattern editor. This has always bugged me because I input notes/effects very quickly and the tracker constantly skips it. Some cases, I don't notice it and when the song is done, it doesn't play as it should and I always have to look for what the mistake is. Fixing this would be a great help =)
