I found a bug. When you exchange a DAC sample to another place in the samples tab, then ctrl+z to undo, it gives an error saying "floating point overflow", and fun stuff happens.
Edit: Actually, if it would help, I'll tell you what happens. After the floating point overflow text, should you mess with the samples tab again, the samples that were there prior are now scattered everywhere and if you click them, the names get all screwed up. Same goes for the instruments. Clicking them screws the names up and they don't play like you had them. As for the pattern editor, it gets completely screwed up, and if you play it, the pattern length is screwed and the frame and timer count is all screwed up as well, and sometimes the Tracker just crashes.
It was a minor bug in the undo code, reported and fixed a day ago without changing the version number. So just redownload the editor, it'll work properly.
Actually, It happened to me a couple of times when I tried to load a song, but the same thing would happen when I would play a song in Audio Overload so I thought it was my PC. Whatever the case, it doesn't do it anymore.
Btw Shiru, I tried to use VGM2TFI a while ago and it keeps saying "0 instruments were found" no matter what I do. I used it once before to extract instruments from a Verytex song, but I can't even extract from that same file anymore. Since I got it to work before, could I be doing something wrong?
With the files in a folder on my desktop, I am using command prompt as such:
C:\documents and settings\name\desktop\vgm2tfi\vgm2tfi vgmfile
This should all be correct so idk what the deal is.
Here's what I do:
1.) Open Command Prompt.
2.) Change directory (etc. 'cd C:\VGM2TFI'
3.) Type 'VGM2TFI.EXE VGMNAME.VGM'
and it works just fine. I use Windows XP with SP3.
Hmm... I tried dragging the file as Danooct said and it worked. I'm not certain, but I might have tried doing that once before with no instruments being dumped, which is odd. As long as nothing bad happens again, everything should be ok now. I tried it with a handful of VGM's to make sure and they all work and so far so good. Thanks guys.
