Found a small quirk with the importer! For some reason it doesn't capture those really short triangle boops. Somehow it seems to recognise that there are notes playing on the triangle channel, since it captures the pitch events but not the notes themselves... Maybe you can enlighten me on this rainwarrior.
FamiTracker doesn't support the length counter, which is like an auto note-cut with 240hz resolution. So, in this case the triangle is on and off in a single frame and doesn't get captured.
Has anyone noticed that, rather than being mature and using this tool to become better at tracking, one could just use this tool to recieve endless WAV files from NSFs without having to worry about screwing it up themselves?
Not that this is my plan, I'm just saying that it is possible.

You can also do that with NSF input plugins for Winamp and some standalone NSF players. Which is definitely preferrable if the NSF importer doesn't support hardware sweeps.

That is a viable option, too. Still, I feel like this is just a little more convenient for someone who is entirely new to this stuff.

The primary intent of this importer is to demonstrate the feature at work from within FamiTracker's own interface. Notice that the importer is actually FamiTracker 0.3.6, with editing disabled; you'llstill have the ability to open any FTM file & export them as WAV files & NSF/NES/BIN/PRG ROMs.
In any case, it's just as well to use an NSF player/plug0in to do the job of exporting WAVs.

Technology: the one thing that's hated & cursed at by all engineers, technologists, scientists & technicians!
Winamp comes with a "disk writer" output plugin. You'll get better results with that than with passing the NSF through the importer first; the importer isn't 100% accurate. (FamiTracker's sound/WAV output itself is pretty nice though.)
I wish someone else should do it instead of me.
I am not forcing someone to do it. Just a request idea to remember.
Someone in the future may pick it up and develop it, GBS logging to FTM. I can wait.
Ooh, I'd like to see this too. Unfortunately, this probably can't be done without using something like Cheat Engine since the clock speeds for the NES and the Gameboy are completely different.
