1. Use the instrument column only when you're actually choosing an instrument. You had a lot of numbers in the instrument column where they apparently do nothing. because that instrument was already chosen.
I have to wonder: if this can cause problems, then why is it the default behavior? I don't think there even is a way to input a note without inputting an instrument, so you have to have all these redundant instrument changes and then take 'em out afterward.
