I've made about 1/2 (or maybe 1/3, I don't know) of a Mega Man styled song (although maybe it doesn't sound like Mega Man at all) of my own. I started making it today, and will probably finish it tomorrow (although the final touches might be made on sunday).

I'm not making a post for it because it would probably get closed anyway. Tell me what you think about it! (I expect insults and sarcasm on the way, and this time... I'M PREPARED!!).

And no, it isn't a MM2 song (title confuses me sometimes xD).

Ok, so... here we go! (people will see it as a terrible song, I know it, I CAN FEEL IT).

Well first of all you gotta do something about square #2, it makes my ears bleed. Second, I don't really get any MM feeling from the song.

Well if you're going to use DPCM for drums, why not use them for any drum sound that you like

For examples of triangle drums + uninterrupted bassline, see also: Tim Follin.

You know how much time and effort needed to handle both the drums and bass in the same channel?

My reply : You know how much time and effort IS needed to handle both the drums and bass in the same channel? I'm sorry if my English is rusty.

Exactly none with the advent of fixed arpeggio.

Or, how about we stop arguing about this and leave it alone.

Not to continue this further, but I thought it was worth mentioning that "fixed arp" is a beta-version feature.

edit: I wanted to add that this trick is (imo) more usable on a square channel, since it's easier to make the kick stand out from the surrounding pitch by way of vol/duty envelope. Nice one jsr.
