I've never used N163 before, so I decided to try it out.
I still don't understand why sounds get cancelled out all the time and pitch is way off, but this doesn't sound bad.

I suppose so, yes. I didn't know noise could actually become usable notes. Could be useful for a song, as long as I find some way for it to not be extremely ear raping.

looped noise can also be quite useful as percussion. Try using the higher frequencies for a sort of high-pitched dinging sound.
The main theme for Solstice uses this quite a bit.
