Simply on a site 2A03.org there was a question about an opportunity of introduction expansion chip N106 in FamiTracker. And there it has been told, that it is impossible because of features N106.
the only reason i can think for why someone would say that is because the VRC7 N106 and FDS sound expansions will all require some modifications to the instrument editor (maybe FME-7 as well if the noise channel were included, that remains to be seen.) It's all entirely possible though. Nonetheless I'm not too excited about the N106.
I'm very sorry,if the request written further by me already were. And request such:Whether probably to enter function of reception double-tone sound (similarly to effect "arpeggio", but without trembling a sound) by pressing two musical buttons?I know, that there is a function "Auto Arpeggiate Chords",in which by pressing two buttons it turns out double-tone sound, but trembling to me does not allow to define it precisely, whether I a tonality have picked up that. And effect " Fine Pitch ",in my humble opinion, is not so convenient - adjustment to do longer.
Your English is really hard to understand... what do you mean by "trembling"? What is it you want to define precisely? You want to create an arpeggio between two notes that do not fit into the 12-tone scale, is that it? Maybe even make an arpeggio between a smoothly rising and a smoothly falling note? If so, why would this be specific to the N106 chip?
I'm sure whatever the chip can do, jsr will find a way to adapt famitracker to be able to use it to its full potential.
As far as I understand, he wants polyphony instead of auto arpeggio when pressing two note keys. Don't know if he wants it for the jam mode, or for edit mode too.
Here's an effect request I would like to make: Retrigger.
In IT it's Qxy, where x is the "fade up/down" volume between note retrigs, and "y" is the speed of the retrigger. It's hard to do since square channels don't reinitialize whenever notes are "retriggered", but I recently needed to do this effect in MML:
| 1 0
It would save some time. It's not hard to do by hand if need be, but would be nice to have in pattern. :D
Have it work on the Triangle channel as well, only ignoring the volume fade effects.. Retriggering on the Triangle would cut one frame before next note comes in, etc.
Sorry for high-jacking your post, but it's easier this way. I'm not sure I understand, I was under the impression the square channels always retrigger on new notes. You mean you want an effect that automatically fades out notes before new notes are played? Or did I get it all wrong?
Not really feature request, but it would be cool to have auto echo feature, like Neil Baldwin has implemented recently in his Nijuu driver (see here, bottom of the page - 'Is There An Echo In Here?').
That is cool. But do you mean to say this is an effect that automatically makes "echoes" in between the actual notes whenever the channel isn't playing something else, so it's all within the capabilities of the real hardware? It'd be a nifty feature, I'll agree... just trying to understand what it is you want.
About auto echo, everything is explained on Neil's page pretty well already, and I'm sure that jsr understand how this must work too. I don't want to repeat same things here.
Any PSG sound chip cannot handle polyphony in single channel, single channel is single. Ryukenden1 seems to just want to hear two pressed keys as two normal notes, without arpeggio, probably to have limited polyphony in the jam mode. This is useful feature for sure, which is often lack in PSG trackers.
Some offtopic. I wondering, is usual quotation is not enough to answer? Why editing the posts? Do you understand that it is anonymous, it breaks the context, and also not update the thread, so the answer can't be tracked in usual way?
