Hi,

I am totaly new to tracking but I have a question. It might be completly stupid but is there a way to save an instrument in FamiTracker? I can't seem to find any option for that task. Like I said, it might be stupid but I can't imagine people are re-editing new instruments for every song they compose...

Sorry but there isn't. But this has been requested before so I'm working on it.

Right now you can copy the MML strings if you want to duplicate an instrument.

not to further derail this thread, but

nensondubois: I have made a cover of the 3rd track in Xexyz about a year ago.
I think the square settings are pretty accurate , although there are some differences within the original and the cover I made.
I have yet to find a company or composer's who's NES sound cannot be emulated using famitracker.
If you look around for files floating around on the 2a03free.fr server, you will find several examples backing this up.
