(shameful copy+paste from 2a03.org)
Around December/January, I worked on a little Flash shmup game as part of my university coursework. I didn't manage to finish it entirely back then, but at least got it to a stopping point for my coursework sub. After that, I continued to work on it and added more, until I ran out of steam. It's been sat doing nothing since March, so I decided to go back to it recently, tie up some loose ends/remove the failed ideas, and get it released.
There's still a few bugs in it I couldn't fix unfortunately - sometimes explosions appear in the wrong place, and there's a little weirdness with the BGM on the menu screens stopping/retriggering, neither of which I could find a way to resolve - though they're pretty minor things (let me know if you notice any others issues). All in all the game isn't really that special anyway. I know I know, it'd be far cooler if it were an actual NES game, or at least attempted to emulate the graphical aesthetic, though I guess it's not too bad considering it's the first game I've ever made.
I figure the NES tunes may be of more interest though, and they're my main reason for posting music by Shnabubula, dw_junon, Kulor and myself - great friends of mine, and probably names you're familiar with! They each wrote a short looping tune for the game, and I've owed it to them to get this project released for some time.
