Good stuff Rushjet1, I especially loved your alternate Megaman 9 soundtrack that you posted at 2a03.com.
I just made my first Megaman cover (Megaman 3 wily Castle stg 1-2)
There is no pitch bending like in the original. I've been avoiding it like the plague cause I'm still having trouble with the pitch bend. I already tried 4xx, but everything that I think sounds close sounds more like Megaman 2 like vibratos.
The very end before the loop repeats, is inaccurate, because in the original, a "piano lick" occured in the counterpoint, which I couldn't pull off on Famitracker.
Yeah, my suggestion was just to give the tom a bit of a higher pitch because it would scream more of a Megaman style to me, but that's just my opinion I guess.
Good job overall, you should collaborate with gecko yamori to do some more..
I was bored today so I decided to make another Mega Man cover for myself. I covered Magnet Man's stage from Mega Man III. If anyone wants to take this and clean up the vibrato's that would be cool.
Edit: Whoops had the tempo a bit to slow, reposting the updated FTM.
On the megaman instrument tutorial, I have a question for tssf to clear up for myself the bit about the ZSNES 2a03 emulator.
When you said you got the information with the pause+advance frame hotkeys, how did the process work? like did you get better results from either one of these interfaces...
> The Squares and Triangle with the fluctuating equalizer type bars
> The keyboard with dots
> Or the "00011 0001010..." (which I presume is the MML) I notice the numbers change alot when vibratos occur.
The easiest way is to change it to the display that shows the notes, and the volume bars, with no background. That way you can count the volume setting.

Oh ok I got it, and this leads me to another noob question...
Does the color of the volume bars mean anything? (i.e. from Dark Grey, Light Grey then white.
It's just effect. I usually use it as a number reference. I think Light Grey starts at volume 8 (4 pixels per volume instance..).. not sure when white comes in but you can figure it out if you count it out.
