Thanks for making row numbers with black background again!
Yay! I finally got the newer version down, I must have been downloading from a proxy server or something earlier. Thanks, jsr, much better now! I still think it would be nice if there was a more noticable indication that you're in record mode than JUST the background on the selected row turning red, but we're getting closer to an awesome 0.3.0 release.
After some practice with the improved order-list editor, I think it needs further improvement. It's quite painful to repeat part of order list, for example (especially if additional channels used). Moving group of order position through menu is quite painful too, buttons 'move up' and 'move down' in the main window would help.
Also, I'd like if when 'change all' is active, entering pattern number in order list on any channel would change all channels to this value (i.e. order position was 00 10 1A 02 02, I change 10 to 11, and it would be 11 11 11 11 11).
And seems there is some problems with insert/delete last order position (forgot what wrong exactly).
I haven't understood brief description of MMC5 then, sorry. Well, I can assume they maybe this register to use with scanline IRQ? Don't know if it's possible to setup it to generate IRQ every 2 scanlines (to get 8 KHz output).
MMC5 has a scanline IRQ counter, but I believe it's only working on the active screen area and disabled during the vblank period. However I've been doing some experiments with $4011 and the VRC IRQ (which runs on CPU cycles instead), and I think it might be possible to use that as a PCM channel. Also thanks for pointing out the bugs and suggestions, I'll check them before the release.
I've tried the new beta, and I like the shiny grey bar. Slick! What would be cool is if you could tint that red for record mode... I am personally satisfied with the blue/red line anyway, but it would be cool...
It was also a good idea to scrunch things in the tracker window (makes room for a certain Namco chip?)
The scrunched tracker GUI makes things more legible, imho. Quite reminiscent of MODPlug Tracker, my stomping grounds.
I am looking forward to good things...

That's great. Downloaded it and just noticed one minor bug: changes of Row highlight and 2nd highlight boxes are not displayed until I click on the pattern editor.
Just wanted to say a big thanks for the great new version. I`m sure that there are many here who really appreciate this fantastic program as much as I do!
Kreese & Kizul: I'm sorry but I can't get that to happen for me, it jumps to the second row properly. What settings are you using? (One thing I found was that the ignore step when moving setting is broken.)
gorsal: Ah yeah, seems it fails to scroll unvisible channels sometimes. I can probably make a quick fix for it.
Kreese: Heh things like that happen all the time, makes it impossible to debug. =)
If you get it again and know how to reproduce it then I'd like to hear.
Kizul: I know there is one thing I need to fix, expansion chip tunes should not be exported as dual PAL/NTSC tunes. Expansion chips were only available for famicom and NTSC. FCEU seems to autoselect PAL for dual tunes, and that is not supported.
I also noticed the DPCM pitch problem, but only when I exported with 0.2.9, not 0.3.0. Not sure what's going on there, but as long as it works with the latest version. I will also fix the Cxx. (Heard about it before but didn't realized it affected NSF export only.)
@Kizul:
PAL VRC6 NSF:s play very fine with following players I've tested (using my newer NSF:s with VRC6 expansion, since all my NSFs are known for having PAL-only playback).
So yes, it's more likely that the issue has to do with the NotSo Fatso plugin itself.
* - If an NTSC/PAL NSF is played on this software, the NSF will only play it in NTSC mode.
** - Like jsr said, an NTSC/PAL NSF will be played in PAL mode (lol, changed roles).
EDIT:
Tested your fire2.nsf in foobar2000 and Nestopia, and the DPCM's pitch went high as well.
