I would request that 5B's 32 different noise frequencies be displayed in all the empty space to the right of the rightmost 2A03 noise frequency, if at all possible.

Hardware render of attached nsf http://www.mediafire.com/download/kp6elhdw8d3ip1b/original_entry09.flac

It might also be nice if the color changed depending on the enable bits of the channel. E.g. internal register $07 being %00000111 would have all channels of the square wave color, a value of %00001110 would have channel 5B:0 being some different color for noise only. %00001111 some other color for tone+noise. Bit 5 of internal register $08 being set would make channel 5B:0 be yet another set of colors, depending on the flags of $07

Or in VortexTrackerII terms, one color each for
Tne
tNe
TNe
tnE
TnE
tNE
TNE

tne would be silent anyway...so black???

Thanks, this is just what I needed.

NSFPlay Synthesia 0.60 "Full 5B Support" has been released!

Download Windows Binary: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/56073318/Synthesia/nsfplay%202.3%20Synthesia%200.60.zip
Download source: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/56073318/Synthesia/nsfplay23src%20synthesia%200.60.zip
Download diff: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/56073318/Synthesia/synthesia060.patch

Changelog:
-With help from rainwarrior, there are now NO outstanding bugs that produce incorrect frame data in the synthesia output.
-A new in_yansf.ini parameter, STARTING_OCTAVE has been added. Its default value is 1. Try 0 or even -1 if your .nsf has super low notes.
-5B support is (hopefully) now complete. I even added special colours for when you create a 'new instrument' using volume envelope modulation.

You can finally see the noise being used in an nsf as early as 2012 in deadlock.

KillMeBaby looks even more insane with the extra octave plus all that good 5B noise work (as usual, you need to open Settings>FDS>Write Protect $8000-$DFFF)

HertzDevil (and Xyz) has found some bugs so I'll try and release 0.61 sometime.

I only have three of the 5 EXP chips used in this and it makes me sad that I don't have all I need to not play it on a computer.

I can relate, this also happens in Winamp 5.666, either the Keyboard completely gives up, or works again after a few secconds.

Change the delay from below 20 ms to above 20 ms. Known bug in 0.60 only.

Download diff: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/56073318/Synthesia/synthesia061.patch

Changelog:
-Fixed bug where if you set delay below about 20ms, the synthesia window would freeze whenever changing songs. Now all values of delay should work OK (tested -250 to +250 or so)
-5B: When envelope is volume modulating 5B noise, it should now be displayed.

Todo in a future update:
-Change the colour of DPCM samples when they're played at a different speed (Xyz_39808 )
-Use some code from Nezplug++ which fixes a 5B sound playback bug which is in nsfplay and Famitracker also apparently (HertzDevil) ( http://puu.sh/gQ8Up/60d1e066de.nsf , offgao.net/program/nezplug++_s.zip )
-perfect 60fps finally??? (Patashu)

Anyone else having that error in Winamp 5.666 when opening in the Winamp Settings the Visualization area (The Vis plugins)?
I can't be the only one here having this issue with Winamp.

Admittedly, I haven't tested using nsfplay as a winamp plugin at all.
