Great, I wish I could help in some other way besides just cheering from the sidelines, (just started my first programming class haha), but yeah hope it works out. I've been using Famitracker in Mac over X11. It works for a while but then the audio crashes, so it would be awesome to have something work natively for Mac. (I could also more easily convince my composer friends (all Mac users) into doing Chip music.)

I am going to download Yosemite soon. I've been distracted by iOS appdev. :\

Runs okay on 2011 MBA but the battery life for the first few days was garbage! It's a bit better now. Hope you don't have issues.

It's too bad you're going at this all on your own in your spare time. Wish I could help!

He's still working on bugs. Have you tried using Wine and X11? I got it to work well using PlayOnMac in cooperation with Wine and X11.

I've migrated the MFC basis of Qt FamiTracker version 0.4.6 and have it up and running in OSX. Upgrading the MFC source drop in the Qt environment is getting much easier now. But there are still a few things left to get figured out. At least it plays FTMs! Rather much better than 0.4.4 at that!

The text in some of the widgets is slightly too big and wraps or disappears.
The InstrumentList drag/drop stuff that's new in 0.4.6 hasn't yet been Qt-ized.
Seamlessly pulled in all of the Boost stuff...pretty neat.
Sounds great on my MBA!

That's great, let us know if you need us to test anything. I own a 2011 MBA running Yosemite.
