It's been implemented in ipi's build.

Forks aren't main branch.

But forks aren't main branch.

Who cares if best version, some people are too uninformed to find it, so it'd be nice to have in the main branch.

It would also be nice to have it in the NSF export.

STFU SoltIW, the first post you quoted is itself doing the job of informing people of the fork's existence and was its only purpose

A temporary solution is still a solution

I remember the last time I mentioned that multiple expansions in an FTM module is still a hack (even before ipi's fork came along); people still went irate over my mentioning that to a beginner who, only the day before requesting this, asked about how to add a new instrument into a project. Basically, the community is passionate about the whole hobby & there's nothing wrong with that; the problem comes when people forget that certain things that are common knowledge to them is totally new & unknown to complete beginners (including where to find the solutions & work-arounds to their issues, or even how to read a help file).

Anyways, ipi's fork is here, but don't expect anything in the way of official support from JSR when something goes totally wrong, just as SoltIW meant. ipi would be the one to ask, along with anyone else who uses his fork.
