Windows 8 blocks the application the first time you run it, too.

But then you go all "screw you Windows I know what I'm doing" and it shuts up.

If I were a meanie I'd release it only on the condition that you host the next installment of democompo, jrlepage. :P

I'm not going to be mean like that (obviously), but I was thinking right now is a great time for such a thing, in between Spring Tracks and Summer Chip!

If you need help or assistance with it I'm more than willing to help.

moviemovies1: Thanks for those reports. Importing all tracks now works Ninja Gaiden Shadow. And yeah, the waveform switching bug affected all GBS files. :P

Volume is still an issue though.

B00daW: I'm looking into it. All I know for now that it isn't a bug in the CPU emulation (save for the possibility of ADD and INC operations being performed on sound registers)

Here's a new beta.

A Master System VGM/VGZ importer would be a dream come true... if only the differences in volume control and periodic noise didn't get in the way

EDIT: I imported a VGM using MOD2PSG then transferred every single last thing onto Famitracker... and it works. Sort of.

The program chokes on this GBS! "Unsupported ROM layout", apparently. What does this mean exactly?

The program seems to have a problem with the Asterix GBS. It only imports track 1, no matter which track chosen. The same happens when trying to import all tracks at once. Also, in the Spot GBS there is one point in track 1 (In the FTM provided below, this happens at frame 0C, row BF in pulse 1) where there is supposed to be a downwards slide lead. If you don't want to search for it in the GBS, you can hear what it's supposed to sound like here. However, in the FTM, instead of sliding, it goes straight to the lowest note of the lead rather than sliding down to it.

All that's left is to reverse the process and convert .ftm to .gbs

More issues! This time this GBS is the culprit. I tried importing track 15 specifically; the import process itself works fine, but the file it spits out runs really really slow. Here it is (and here is a sped up version).

Any idea why this happens?

y'all make sure to give slimeball some respect and gratitude when developing something for you (or otherwise). i'm pretty sure he appreciates bug reports but will likely continue if he's having fun developing the application.
