Sorry if I sound demanding, but did you see my previous post about Qxx/Rxx and pitch macros, jsr? I know it may be a small thing, but I think it needs a proper fix...
MovieMovies1: Sorry, no I didn't miss your message but I wanted to try it first before replying. I'll see if the behavior can be reverted to the way it was in 0.4.3.
The clipping will occur if too many notes with high volume are playing at once. Just enter a C major chord or whatever, with one of the default instruments, with all channels playing at full volume. You'll definitely notice the clipping.
I did notice the slightly lower VRC7 volume, but then I noticed my mixer had the VRC7 volume set to -2.0dB. Might wanna check that.
I have noticed clipping behavior. But that does not answer my question regarding the volume. My mixer has everything on 0.0dB and I still notice lower volume.
Shywolf: I'll fix that, thanks for letting me know!
mmkthecoolest: VRC7 clipping occurs when two channels are playing at max volume, and this is now properly emulated. As a result, I've also adjusted the volume of the internal channels since more headroom is available, but that also made the ratio between internal channels and VRC7 wrong. I'll correct that.
It's hard for me to describe this bug, but there's a gif.
It works only in N163 1-7 channel modules.
Also, it crashes sometimes in this state.
I can confirm, this mostly happens when FT is not in Fullscreen and you want to select one or 2 channels, FamiTracker scrolls bluntly to the right or left, this happens in earlier versions too.
Robotronus: I'll fix the scrolling bug. Did you do anything special to get it to crash? The dump didn't reveal much, unfortunately.
For example, if you play this module while scrolling bug is in state when all channels is hidden, FT will crash. I hope MM1 don't mind that i use his cover.
This is actually pretty cool, IMHO it should get developed into a full feature. (For example, I wouldn't mind seeing the current note pitches plotted on a graph over time.)
Oh, but here's one thing that still bugs me: FamiTracker should stop always automatically registering itself as the application handler for .ftm files . Remember the days when Internet browsers did that?
