0CC-FamiTracker is a modification of FamiTracker 0.4.2, released by HertzDevil and named after a useful arpeggio effect.

The feature list includes:
  • Complete Sunsoft 5B support, including NSF export
  • Arpeggio schemes - the 0xy effect now substitutes values into the arpeggio MML string
  • Custom pitch tables
  • A delayed note release effect (Lxx)
  • Expansion chip selection (checkboxes)
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes and tweaks excluding those fixed in 0.4.4

  • Full information is included in both 0CC-readme.txt and changelog.txt.

    Download here.

Here are a few a couple of NSFs exported from this version to prove functionality.

    Space Harrier.nsf - My unfinished 5B cover.
Combat.nsf - 3 channels of the song "Combat" from MSX Salamander
Scarlet_Mist_Incident_Fixed.nsf - HertzDevil's FCM10-EX submission. Fixed because he used Envelope speed values to shut off the envelope gen causing loud, high pings or silence whenever the ENV was used.

WARNING: Since this is based on a version of FT with inaccurate 5B mixing, it's much quieter than it should be. If you make 5B instruments that sound alright in the tracker, subtract 3 from all volume values prior to NSF export.

Out of all the things I could have done with Sunsoft 5B, I have no idea why I went with this.

Now all it needs is an AY + YM importer and then this tracker will be golden.

    Quick question:

How do you use the custom pitch tables? Sorry for my lack of understanding. It's what happens when you take a break from computers for a while.

I believe in the current version you just open up Tracker>Detune settings and then change the slider for every deviation from default FT periods. You can then choose to save these deviations into a .csv file and also load 'em.

Detune settings doesn't do anything for me. I click on it, and nothing happens.

    Latest version is 0.3.2
    [edit:"see below more info"joke]

Do not use this thread as the hub for latest info. Keep up with hertzdevil on his twitter, even if you don't have an account.

OK, thanks for telling me. However, I still don't get how the pitch tables in the 'periods.txt' file relates to the Detune Settings at all. For instance, how would I implement the pitch table settings for Mega Man 3-6 into this version of FamiTracker? Is this feature not finished yet?

Sorry for the newbie questions, lol.

    *EDIT*

Didn't see your edited post, due to my typing my own post.

I have some feature requests for the next version of 0CC Famitracker.
    Wave macros for the FDS.
Faze reset macros for the 2A03 and MMC5.
VRC7 software envelopes for volume, arps, pitch, hi pitch and its frequency operators.
Allow the DPCM importer to play longer than 1 second of sample playback at its highest quality.
The PCM clicking herd in FF3.
the ability to preview what note you are fine tuning.
    End of list.

As far as I know, this is a hardware limitation due to the maximum sample size.

HertzDevil has created his own forum here - please share your 0CC-FamiTracker modules there, as they have been specifically disallowed on this forum.

I've been using this to death recently.
However, I found a bug. in the exported nsf, volume 0 on the 5b gets treated as volume 1, causing foobar's silence detection to not work.
