Is this one already known? It feels like one I've reported before, but I forget, and it's still there [as of 0.4.6].

For example, I have an FTM where one song is in 6:8 time so its row highlight settings are 6 and 12 respectively. The other songs in the module are in common (with highlights of 4 and 16), however, FT currently applies row highlights on a module-wide basis, which causes editing trouble when I switch to or from this song; i.e. it becomes difficult to properly align long notes to certain beats (what the highlight settings are mainly used for).

I frequently wish I could control it per-pattern or even change it mid-pattern with an effect.

I'm a weirdo though.

Am I the only other person who wants this?

Nope, I want it, too.

Me too -- or should I say four?

For example, I'm covering a song where I had to go into double speed to handle a trill and pitch bend (because good luck trying to arpeggio THAT). Yeah that's not a big deal (aside from having to manually time it for speed 3.5, it was just one measure), but I have another song that starts out in 6:8 time before switching to 4:4 and I'd love to be able to customize it so that I could get the rows properly highlighted instead of having to pick one or the other.

Hi.

This has been added and will be available in the next release. It has been planned for a while actually but got delayed since it needed a file format update. The next version will have a few updates.
