I am ridiculously proud of what I've accomplished with this so far, but I was wondering if anyone had any input on any improvements that could still be made?

This has always been one of my favourites from the DOOM OST.

I think one of the few things that bugs me is because of the bass and mood string being the same note on a different channel (albeit with different effects), there's occasional interference when they play on the same frame - especially in the slow part at the beginning. Is there any good way to avoid this without it sounding wrong?

To help alleviate issues with channels playing the same note, I usually de-tune one of the channels and/or make the instruments different waveforms.

To do the de-tuning just use the Pxx effect, where P80 is default, so set one to something like P7E or P81 (You can also do this in the instrument editor if you want it to always be adjusted). This creates a chorus-like effect which is useful in its own right, as well as in your situation. The farther you go from P80 the more noticeable the effect becomes. All vibrato does is quickly cycle through a range of these Pxx values.

I attached a quick fix - I just changed the pitch of the mood string in the instrument editor and softened the vibrato. It's not perfect, but in the lower registers stuff always sounds rough, which makes covers like this kinda difficult.

Nice work on the song though. Not very fancy, but then again neither is the original haha.
