Since my Luigi's Mansion - A Stroll Outside chiptune only used 2 channels, I thought I might try filling it up with some more good stuff. I ended up putting elements from 4 different Luigi's Mansion songs into this one song. I think it came out good! I would've liked to get the credits music in there, though.
I derped and forgot to attach the FTM... it's there now.
Thanks! I don't know much about DPCM, though, so I have a question:
How do I know when I'm using too much space? I know there's a maximum size per sample, and I know there's a maximum size (256 kb) of all samples, but is this FamiTracker's limit or the limit of the NES hardware? I have like 10 samples in this song, how do I know when I'm just using too much?
I'm no expert on Famicom hardware, but I THINK that that's the total memory for data on a cart, or something like that. The upshot of which, I THINK, is that the more DPCM you use, the less room for sprites and game code. I think. As for when using too much, unless you plan to run a game alongside of it, I think that 256kb is your max. Someone please correct or confirm.
