Yes, but not only freeze the tracker but the entire computer, call the Task Manager is almost impossible, I will record video. Had to pull on the notebok batteries
Ah yes, I've noticed this happens when more than one instance of FamiTracker is open when you disconnect the soundcard. Unfortunately, the whole computer freezes. That said, if you manage to close both FT windows, the computer will go back to normal, but it's really hard to do that, so most likely you'll lose any unsaved work due to having to shut the computer down.
By the way, try keeping the power button pressed for a few seconds instead of pulling out the battery. That will shut the computer down in a much safer way.

My guess is that this is very possible to fix, since other applications try choosing another soundcard when you disconnect the USB one. However that's all I can say; the developer of FT is the only person who can say if this can be fixed.

Well, it should be fixable. No other program (that I know of) freezes the entire computer when the devices it needs to run gets disconnected.
The problem is probably that there is no code that expects the soundcard to disconnect, so when it does, famitracker doesn't know what to do and uses all of the computers resources to figure out what to do, which freezes the computer and forces you to restart it.
But hey, that's just a theory, a famitracker theory! Best reference ever lol! Have no idea what I'm talking about? First of all, where the crap have you been? And second of all: https://www.youtube.com/user/MatthewPatrick13
