You can always look up some samples at the 2a03 forums (not the free.fr ones). Otherwise I'd recommend the tutorial for Famitracker for beginners. And don't forget to ask. If a song sounds good to you, try to ask the composer for a ftm-file. I think, there aren't many people who won't give you the file.
