The note cuts make it sound like something is missing.
Ah ok, I added a lot to the song, and I changed the note cuts to fade-outs. I'm not sure if that's what you meant, but see if it sounds a bit better.
Also, listen to the bass (Triangle) near the end of the song x_x... How can anyone even think up something like that... It just sounds like a billion random notes, but once it gets put into the song, it sounds fine.

That problem is exactly what I've had; the only problem is that I could only find MP3s instead.
Ah, that's too bad... I can't find the midi, but at least it shows the tiny notes on the video I found x_x...
Also, I guess I'll be able to move this to "Show Off Your Work" soon... Then again, I'm only half-way done...
EDIT: Also, could you guys tell me if you hear anything wrong with my version? Some parts just sound weird to me...
EDIT: Oh hey! It exports the NSF file almost perfectly, I'll upload that too for anyone who doesn't have 0.3.5:
Haha, sounds like it's very hard to get this envelope. I have a good ear for music. Why don't you upload an MP3 of the song you're trying to get the sound off of and I will try and get it.
He's talking about using a volume envelop for volume fades. Mind you, I guess he's still somewhat misinterpreting the problem at hand.
Anyways, a volume envelop is the use of the volume column or the Axx effect to fade volume levels in/out.
By the way, I like the new revision of the song you made, KuroBit. Even though it's not complete, it's still better than it was before. Mind you, I also think that you should clean up the song a bit by fading the volume in/out as you see fit.
Good luck with the rest of the tune. I hope it comes out as you want it to.

Where did you mean? I don't really know the proper way of making a cover x_x... I just do what I think sounds right, so I probably have weird things all over the place.
In the tracker, where you see the notes, you should see something like this:
--- -- - ---
C#4 01 F 463
Note the F & which column it's in. That column controls volume (which is in the range of 0 to 15, where 15 is the maximum).
A volume fade would look like this:
C#4 01 F 463
--- -- E ---
--- -- D ---
--- -- C ---
--- -- B ---
And so on. You can also use different increments & different values (you don't have to do it in a linear fashion).
However, if you want to play a new note, you have to bring the volume back up. For example:
C#4 01 F 463
--- -- E ---
--- -- D ---
--- -- C ---
--- -- B ---
F#4 01 F 400
--- -- E ---
--- -- D ---
--- -- C ---
--- -- B ---
Because this effect is continuous until you bring the volume back up, it's known as a volume envelop (i.e.: the entire channel will maintain the last value you've used for volume until you change it).

Oh yeah, I know of that. It's just that I was using the Axx effect instead (Kind of the more lazy way I guess >_>...).
I actually did use ONE volume envelope in the style you're talking about. At the very first section in Square 2 at #0B :P. I was trying to get a slightly overlapping note for the Square 1 channel...
Actually, if you can get the timing of the volume fades right, the Axx effect is far better to use.
Mind you, the volume column has the advantage of controlling the volume in a more global manner (this is also a disadvantage since you have to bring the volume back up).
Anyways, run through the original song & run through your cover; if you hear anything in the way of volume fades in the original, find the notes in your cover that require the volume effect & just fiddle around with it until it's just right to you.
But remember; this song doesn't have very linear volume fades. If you're fading the channel to 0 volume, make sure that you don't space out your volume values in a linear manner. For example, try this for a fade:
The intro, sadly, doesn't have the arpeggios that the original song has. However, it's a good, solid base. Perfect for all intents & purposes (alongside the YouTube link in the first post).
