I got interested in this from a website on YTMND having to do with MacGyver and NES mentioning the ability to create NES music.
I tried using a text-editor, but it didn't work, and then I found this NES music composer. Unfortunately the real-time NES emulation gave out and I don't know why or how to get it to come back.
If you touched the audio settings then you can try resetting them. Open a command console and go to the folder where you have the program and type "famitracker /clearsettings", that will restore all settings to default.
