Hi, I have a sample that emits a high frequency sound (that's really annoying) when the box marked "start from 64" isn't checked in the samples editor. When I do check it, it is less noticeable, however when the song plays, I still get the sound... Also, when I go back to "edit" in the DPCM samples editor again, the box is unchecked. It will save any other settings like, inserting zeros, for example. By the way, I'm using 0.3.5 Beta. Am I doing something wrong here, or is it just a bug?

If your sample is in WAV format, here's a little tick you can try if you have an audio file converter.

A conventional WAV file is uncompressed audio. This means it will be able to play background noise clearly under normal circumstances. But MP3 is a lossy compression format (the lower your bit rate, the less background noise you have).

What I'd do in this case is convert the WAV file into a 32 b/s MP3. Then, I'd convert the MP3 to a WAV file again. Sure, it will degrade the main audio to a certain extent, but it will eliminate noise.

Put Z40 for every sample you play. 'Start from 64' is a preview function more than an edit function.

And yeah, there is no need to do anything with an audio converter if 'start from 64' is just what you need.

Note that the first sample will produce a pop/click if you use Z40.
