Sorry to bump old posts like this, but I'm having a little difficulty with creating my own triangle samples.
Seeing that Rushjet1 already got one C# sample created for the 3rd octave, I tried to create C3# samples for the 4th & 5th octaves.
My problem is that I can't create any clean samples. What I've done was play a C# in FamiTracker, export the WAV file & import it back into FamiTracker.
Can someone point me to a download for ReDMC (or at least teach me how to do it right)?

RE: A song using 3 Triangle wavesPosted: 2010-07-11 02:37
The song is "U.N. Owen Was Her?" (or maybe more commonly known as the background song in "Mc Roll'd" on youtube) which I'm currently working on as a regular cover.
Sad when a song is more recognized from a particularly crappy MAD than the game it comes from, eh?
Anyway, amazing idea you have here with 3 triangle channels, lmao. Hopefully an idea like this will see a bit more use.
Oh, redmc just converts .WAV files to DMC. I think it's better than DMCCONV and the built-in one in Famitracker for most uses. It doesn't redo DMC files for looping though.
To convert a file, it should be 33452hz, 16-bit Mono. Converting to 8-bit is unnecessary.
FamiTracker has the function to allow the DMC file to loop, but ReDMC only creates the DMC files out of the WAV file. That said, I can't really master the WAV file properly, for some strange reason.
Every time I create a WAV file & convert it, the DMC files abruptly cuts out as the sample finishes. This makes it unfriendly to use when trying to create a looping note.
Can someone recommend a way t eliminate this?

Sorry if I'm bumping an old post, but I only get to use the internet about once a week (just temporarily for the summer). the way I made the samples was with a Hex editor. I've never used a hex editor before but I had downloaded one a while ago for some reason, so I opened it up and messed around with some values and got it to save a file that works in FamiTracker.
