Hey guys, I'm incredibly new to FamiTracker (and using trackers in general) and I was wondering what the easiest way to make a triplet would be? I have a feeling it has something to do with the Gxx effect (delay) but maybe not, and I havn't been able to get it right. Perhaps I'm overlooking something, and triplets are already built in to the tracker, which I really hope they are, but otherwise, any help would be appreciated

As it turns out, I just updated the FamiTracker Wiki's FAQ page and added that question to the page! Just read the answer, and if you have more questions feel free to come back and further inquire!

My famitracker modules all are written with 6 rows to the beat. That way you can do half a beat with 3 rows, or a triplet with 2 rows. Just set your tempo much higher, and change the row highlights to 6 and 12. It makes your notes really spaced out, which might be annoying to you. But that's what I do.

Ah ok, thank you both. I also just realised that there is another topic about triplets on the same page here, sorry! I probably should have searched before making a new topic.

But I also have one more question; I've seen a few other modules with extra channels (I think that's what they're called?) like an extra square 1 and square 2 and sometimes a sawtooth one. I can't seem to figure out how to do this, so how would you?

Go to Module > Module Properties and change the Expansion Chip to something other than the default. There's information on the varying expansions in the help file.

I tend to use the Gxx function myself. A bit annoying at first, but it's pretty simple once you know how.

Yeah, I've been quite busy lately, mostly proofreading but also adding significant bits of content (such as in the Instruments page).
