I'm working on a cover that requires vibrato for one note but not the next. How do I stop the effect so it doesn't carry on to the following note?

How to stop effects? Easy! Just type whatever effect number it is, but use only 00 in the numbers behind (400)

Yes; whatever effect you're using (like 4xx, 7xx, 0xx, etc.) can be stopped by replacing the xx portion of the effect with 00.
