Every time I try, I keep getting "Unhandled exception C0000005", and it just keeps creating memory dump files. Help, anyone?

I checked the dump file but couldn't find any clues, so I don't know why it crashes. But we could try figuring it out.
Do you think you could try an older version and see if any of those crashes too?

v0.4.1 does the same thing, but v0.4.0 doesn't. Any clues as to why that may be?

Did you try blowing away the registry keys for FamiTracker? Save them first for future reference. =]

Yeah that might be a good idea, the keys are located at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FamiTracker.
I checked the second file too but found nothing.

I've made and attachted a build that generates full memory dumps, that might give some more information. Those dumps might be very large so it's probably a good idea to compress them, if you want to try it.
Another thing you could try is the latest beta http://famitracker.com/forum/attachments/48808/beta.zip .

I think he means for you to give him the dumps that the attached version would give you.

This problem is very similar to something that was common previously, where famitracker would crash if it was located in the same directory as NSFplay. In that case, the crash was caused by incompatible DLLs that was loaded at startup as export plugins, but I don't see any indication of that here. But I see some foreign DLLs that seems to belong to a program called Livestream procaster. I don't know why these are loaded into the famitracker process, but do you think it's possible to temporarily disable that program and try again? There could be some conflict with these files.

... Dammit, Procaster. I knew there was a reason I hated Livestream.
