I don't really have much to say here. I just basicly joined for some help in Famitracker, but first, some useless backstory.
I'm Cheeyev from DeviantArt, and I always liked Dancoot1's Famitracker remakes of music, and I experimented with Famitracker a bit and I'm a bit confident that I can make a 8-bit remake of a song on there, but the problem is that I don't have instruments. I could make them myself, but that would take too long and I'm simply looking for a pack of Famitracker Instruments (Presumably one that he made, I guess) to use in my songs. Anybody got a idea on where they could be?

Hi, welcome to the forums!

Honestly, it's not that difficult to make instruments once you get right down to it, unless you want to go for a specific sound, which may require a little more experimentation. But, since you asked, you can check out our "Post Your Instruments Here" page over on the Show Off Your Work section. There should be plenty of different instruments for you to look through and use.

Then don't use instruments. Right click the instrument window and just create new, but don't do anything with it. Get used to the blank instrument first and get better with effects

You people still use instruments? Everybody knows Speed 1 is the most hardcore...

*Disclaimer: Do NOT try this when starting out*

If you want the danooct1 sound then following Xyz_39808's advice is the best. Blank is life. That said, danooct1 uses snare and kick instruments, but those aren't usually that elaborate. Maybe add some duty change instruments as well; danooct1 usually has quite a few of those.

That said, you should probably ask him straight up.

If you really like danooct1, I probably suggest you take a look at Mega Man stuff (mostly Mega Man 3, 4, 5 and 6).

Well, I like Megaman a lot, but I wouldn't say that danooct1 is similar to Megaman. I like them both but they both have sounds distinct enough that one can tell them apart.

EDIT: Well I took a look, and as of this post, I'm the latest poster in all 5 categories in the forum. =P

Well, I don't think I'll ask him, so i'll try to, well, do it by myself, if I knew how to make the instruments sound good...

Yeah, I already listened to all of the songs before I knew about him.

That's not what I meant, I'm talking about getting to know the Mega Man sound, how to create similar instruments to the Mega Man ones. Digging deeper than just listening to the songs.
